Reported directly to the President of parent corporation (located off-site) and led all aspects of finance and accounting. Directed and mentored staff in Payroll Administration, AP/AR, Job Costing, and Collections. Maintained cash flow, developed annual budget and prepared monthly financial statements, including variance analyses. • Recommended benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. • Monitored and analyzed monthly operating results against budgets and forecasts. • Managed weekly preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts for use by the Board of Directors. • Posted to the General Ledger and analyzed all accounts to ensure accuracy. • Reviewed sales and expenses to control postings in the proper periods. • Prepared Fixed Asset and Prepaid Expense Schedules and recorded depreciation and amortization. • Ensured compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. • Established and implemented short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. • Engaged in internal audits to ensure branches were meeting corporate and company guidelines and reporting correct financial information; traveled to each branch for individual auditing procedures. • Coordinated with and was reviewed by “Big Four” accounting firm to make sure all financial information complied with GAAP and met all auditing standards.
