Daily Duties at Honda Of America Mfg:
• Directly manage the work of 12 engineers • Evaluate new models and create testing plans. • Maximize manpower and equipment efficiency by coordinating and reallocating manpower to priority job functions as needed. • Maintain the group’s technical expertise and common practices to ensure consistency across products and projects. • Conduct written and verbal manpower performance reviews twice per year. • Forecast and control the unit budget for testing and development. • Provide weekly technical updates and monthly unit reports to upper management. • Manage requests from other Honda facilities for new model development and testing support. • Create strategies for product improvement and cost control, targeting the reduction of in house rejections. • Develop strategic business plans that align the department function with long-term corporate vision
