Daily Duties at State University Of Ny At Albany, Cancer Research Center:
I am the sole investigator on the project that studies how vitamin D optimizes global cellular repair response to clear or reduce the accumulation of DNA damage consequent to radiation exposure in human mammary cells and tissues. Both in vitro and in vivo models are used. I design and execute all the relevant experiments. I am also in charge of grant proposal writing to seek additional funding to support my work. At times, I provide bench work training or mentoring to undergraduate students as they rotate through our lab.
