Daily Duties at Y 12 National Securiy Complex:
Currently provide consulting services to the Quality and Readiness Assurance organizations at the Y-12 National Security Complex, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Bechtel-Jacobs K-25 project, Nevada National Security Site, and Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), ensuring startup and restart activities meet quality, operational, safety, security, and technical requirements. Serve as Team Leader for numerous Readiness Assessments (RAs) at the Y-12 site and ORNL. Also provide support to DOE as a special monitor for the Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) Transparency Program Office of Nuclear Verification (NA-243). As a Transparency Monitor, conduct inspections at Russian uranium production facilities to ensure that Russian weapons-grade HEU is down blended to low enriched uranium (LEU) in accordance with the Transparency Protocol and the United States-Russian HEU Purchase Agreement.
