Daily Duties at Johnson Controls Inc.:

Conducting various research tests on hybrid vehicle batteries, documenting test data, conducting statistical analysis on the test data, preparing project reports. The projects included: Acid Gravity Project • The project objective was for measuring battery performance when acid concentrations in cell batteries are changed. • Tasks included testing for resistance, voltage, capacity and conductivity before submitting battery samples to the quality lab. • Created a test report after calculating, analyzing and organizing test data. • Conducted cost savings analysis of acid concentrations in batteries. • Presented results to the group. Effects of Magnetization Project • Executed magnetization project to check the effect of magnetic field on NiMH batteries • Wrote test programs, processed data, calculations, produced successive results and successfully did the presentation and documentation of the project report. • Conducted complex chemical tests, collected data, performed data analysis, and reported test results in a presentation and project report. NiMH and Sanyo battery comparison Project • The project objective was to quantitatively compare JCI Batteries with Sanyo Batteries. • Created test programs in Arbin software tool for measuring charge, discharge, temperature, voltage and conductivity for different battery modules. • Tested Sanyo, JCI modules and lithium ion batteries by installing modules in a test harness and executing test cycles. • Conducted statistical analysis of the test data produced. • Submitted a final project report summarizing results of analysis.
