Daily Duties at Nyu Medical Center:
-Payroll for the 70 employees in the HIM Dept -Authenticated/certified the births that were registered by birth registry staff -Attending appropriate meetings to ensure that we were meeting the present needs while preparing for upcoming changes. -Staff training in preparation for a move from a paper based department to an electronic environment. We were planning to scan all records after discharge. -Communication with physicians who were unresponsive to my staff in regards to completing their work (dictating and signing their charts) -Set priority for high dollar charts so were not being held up in any phase whether it be assembly, coding or release of information.
