Daily Duties at Bell South Telecommunications:
Responsible for consulting with customers to recommend and sell a variety of telecommunications products, and services to meet customer's overall needs. Responsible for utilizing appropriate sales techniques to encourage a good customer relationship and enhance the buying experience. Required to meet or exceed individual sales objectives, as well as meet or exceed customer care commitments. Responsible for negotiating service order requests from customers and inputs orders via on-line system for installation, removal or changes of telephone service. Responsible for serving as the telephone expert to the customer by discussing and handling billing inquiries, product and service inquires, toll and order inquiries, other miscellaneous inquiries, and complaints or customer requests which are related to other departments including referrals to BellSouth entities or other companies. Responsible for negotiating billing inquiries, adjustments, and complaints. Responsible for handling telephone and in some cases face-to-face contacts. Responsible for typing and/or data entry and making minute-by-minute decisions that will result in customer satisfaction. Responsible for collecting delinquent bills in some assignments by contacting customers, usually by telephone or either mechanized or self-composed letters. Responsible for recording data, notations, and/ completing forms via on-line system while communicating with customers by telephone. Responsible for computing quotes to customers' adjustments, balances and rates. Responsible for determining credit, security requirements, and extensions of credit. Responsible for recording appropriate details of service order requests on customer records via on-line system and preparing forms to assure that all customers' request are handled to meet customer commitments. Responsible for handling incoming daily paperwork such as notification of payments, referrals for delinquent accounts or billing reasons, filing service orders, etc. Responsible for reading, interpreting and implementing on-line information, updates to policies, procedures, and operating standards. Responsible for handling intra-company calls and requests from other departments.
