Daily Duties at Newport Beach Imaging Center:

. Performed all routine Cat scan procedures. . Performed CTA's for pulmonary embolisms. . Performed CTA's on brains, abdomens, carotids, adrenals, dissections, and aortic run-offs (etc). . Performed all orthopedic exams with coronal, sagital and 3-d reconstruction. . Performed shoulder scans with 3-d reconstructions and subtraction to view the glenoid fossa via the AW work-station. . Proficiently started IV's on contrast needed patients. . Knowledge of the power injector. . Performed Heart scans (CAC'S) with using an EKG monitor to evaluate the amount of plaque in the vessels. The scores were determined after post-processing. . Provided high quality Cat Scan images. . Weekly scanned a water phantom for QA. Documented all calibrations and entered them into to QA log book. . Excellent management of time, completed approximately 25 scans per day. . Kept a clean, organized and well stocked room for the patients to enter and feel comfortable. . Worked with the PAC's and RIS systems. . Have primarily worked the the GE Cat Scanners. . Liased between patients and physicians to ensure patient comprehension of treatment plans. . Worked closely with the Radiologist obtaining protocols on non-routine exams. . Nofified all physicians in a timely manner of STAT results. . Notified the GE service department of any errors with the scanner, and logged in all the service records. Kept down time to a minimum. . Ensured HIPPA compliance. . Followed infection control procedures. . Helped in the radiology department performing all diagnostic and fluoro procedures.
