He or She uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery. The Charge Nurse sets the example for staff members and is available to staff as a resource to de-escalate, troubleshoot and solve front-line issues. Deal with patient care issues and interact with patients, families, nurses, tech, physicians and nursing leadership. Carry out other nursing leadership duties as assigned by unit manager or director. Attends all codes. Supervises: R.N.'s, L.P.N's & C.N.A's providing direct nursing care and medication administration Scheduled and managed medical consultations in concert with physicians Attends and supervises all codes. Manages and placement of all unit admissions.
