Daily Duties at Pittsburgh Glass Works Llc:

The Creighton plant is one of nine manufacturing and assembly sites owned by Pittsburgh Glass Works. Staffing consisted of ten direct reports with a total employment of 250 people. The total 2010 plant budget was $67 million. The plant manufactures automotive windshields on two high-speed laminating lines. Creighton is a union facility organized by the United Steel Workers. Our mission was to drive operational excellence in the areas of environment, health & safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost control. Ongoing certifications to ISO/TS 16949 and ISO14001 were maintained to meet OEM customer requirements. The Creighton plant manager was also responsible for the Alliston, ON assembly site. Staffing consisted of one direct report (the site manager) with a total employment of 180 people. The Alliston facility bonds various attachments to a wide array of glass parts for the automotive industry. Ongoing certifications to ISO/TS 16949 and ISO14001 were maintained to meet OEM customer requirements.
