Daily Duties at City Of Elkhart:
• Hire, train & supervise all Center Employees • Assess recreational needs of the community, prepare, & submit proposals to organizations & individuals to ensure program implementation and success • Evaluate ongoing programs and operations for quality and efficiency • Instruct & assist individuals with GED placement & exam preparations • Develop alternate funding sources & sponsorships to assist with the Centers programming costs • Serves as contract officer for outsourcing selected services • Act as liaison between the Tolson Center & other community service organizations • Attend meetings, conferences, & workshops as required • Submit monthly & annual reports, including budget reports, departmental accomplishments, & fiscal reports • Promote recreation programs & activities among the public via speeches, news releases, PSA • Complete Federal funding contracts & ensure full compliance, via training & monthly audited reports • Public Relations for Center & special events • Coordinate resources with other 17 City Department
