Daily Duties at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.:

Maintained and processed payroll for over 500 Union associates (Teamsters Local 863), as well as over 100 Non-Union salary and hourly associates. The Union workforce was paid on an "incentive" bases. Depending on the year you were hired, placed you in a specific "Tier". Incentive money was paid (per case) for cases over the specfified goal (some associates were paid an additional $0.06/casee while others were paid $0.07/cases). Each commodity had a different case goal; i.e., deli - 1,850 cases per eith-hour shift; produce - 1,694 cases per eith-hour goal. Also paid "Job" money to the Tier II associates on a daily basis for those associates that were assigned to specific jobs; i.e.. loading dock, hilo operator, salvage man. Once an associate achieved his 8-hour goal and worked less than the 8-hour day, ensured the system paid him for the entire 8 hours and the correct incentive money. When overtime was involved, ensured the associate was paid the correct amount of hours according to the cases he selected. Updated the Mainframe system daily for the selectors to ensure the corect "downtime" was alotted to the associates according to when work was given out. Maintained and reported all manpower availablity on a daily basis; dollars / hours expended; cases shipped / received. Mantained and tracked all scheduled days off; i.e., vacation (days/weeks), personal days, birthdays, jurty duty and verified the percentage of people scheduled off to the scheduled workforce to ensure the manpower requirements are met to ensure customer satisfaction. Tracked and kept management apprised on Worker's Compensation, State Disability and Family Leave requests. Produced all neccessary displianary actions for attendance issues, safety issues, quality issues and poor producticity; kept management informed via spreadsheets on the what steps the associates approached on any level at any given time. Prepared all personnel files for the weekly Union Management meetings. If an associate was MIA for more than five days without contacting the company, sent out termination notification and processed accordingly. On a weekly basis, processed the yearly anniversary raises per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Also, produced work verification and salary verification letters as requested. Processed all address and phone number changes, W-2's, direct deposit requests/cancellations. Mainted all personnel files for the facility. Assisted Facility Manager and Management Team (all three shifts) in any all all areas to support the nature of the business; i.e., prepare spreadsheets for holiday trends for prior years (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas, etc.) as far as cases shipped, overtime hours used. Processed all terminations. Kept the Union Hall informed off all associates who made the Union as well as the Union associates who were terminated.
