Daily Duties at Presbyterian Healthcare Services:

Perform financial reporting for a large regional hospital, and one home health care facility. Complete financial analysis of service lines, accounts receivable, cash collections, contractual allowances bad debts, and overall financial objectives. Review monthly budget variations. Analyze statistical data. Prepare work papers for annual audit. Review financial results with department managers. Analyze and reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts. Provide cash collection training to managers and implement procedures on cash. Facilitate financial discussions in operational review meetings. Responsible for the completion and submission of the Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports and audits To complete these cost reports Assets, Liabilities, Revenue and Expenses are reconciled and analyzed by using source documents, revenue code and CDM code reports. Revenue and Expenses are analyzed to ensure departments are mapped to the same departments are made to reconcile revenue and expenses to the same departments in the cost report. Adjustments are made to decrease unallowable cost. Developed and implemented outcome measurement definitions by retrieving information through data analysis, interpretation, and reporting relative to patient care information systems for all departments, medical and counseling staff. Through data retrieval and analysis the assessment of overall effectiveness aided direction of the organizations goals and decisions to attain goals. Perform screening and analysis of clinical care relative to appropriateness, timeliness and efficiency. Provided baseline information, benchmark and follow-up data/information to identify, prioritize, and evaluate the clinical process improvement. Report data in a statistically accurate, valid and clinically relevant manner using appropriate visual formats. Appropriately utilize applicable computer software programs to compile, format, analyze, interpret and report data sets. Produced and maintained the applicable reporting needs for applicable regulatory standards. Provide direction for report card development and outcomes measurement. Educate clinical, support staff and management staff regarding data availability, accuracy and applicability in the monitoring, evaluation and improvement of patient care process. Statistical analysis includes: • Meals for patients and non-patients per department. • Patient days. • Patient discharges. Laundry by department.
