Daily Duties at Resi Of Towson University:

Manage diverse technical staff including three associate directors, 12 application developers, 6 systems engineers, 20 PC Technicians, and help desk support by being available daily for technical guidance; by making critical decisions relative to project milestones and costs; by resolving problems, both technical and managerial, relative to ensuring a smooth operation; and by mentoring, especially junior developers and college interns. Oversee day-to-day technical operations of RESI’s infrastructure including implementation and maintenance of web and applications servers; data communication services; hubs and routers; and Class C TCP/IP addressing scheme. Supervise design, implementation, and management of the LAN network; oversee maintenance of RESI facility as Internet Services Provider for multiple state government sites including Maryland’s Motor Vehicle Administration’s (MVA) online vehicle registration renewal web site and State Department of Assessment and Taxation’s (SDAT) Real Property application; Certificate of Status; UCC and Charter. Provide technical direction to project managers related to on-going projects; meet regularly with project managers to ensure milestones are met, costs are not exceeded, and customers are satisfied. Meet regularly with RESI directors to discuss business goals and objectives; to report technical and financial status of on-going projects; and to inform directors of concerns of the Business Technology group. Develop technical and cost proposals for future work including applications development and web site hosting and maintenance.
