Daily Duties at Adt/ Tyco Fire And Security:

Responsible for learning to establish effective business relationships with both internal and external customers, assisting Account Executives, along with local and area Management in securing profitable package and integrated system sales for new and existing ADT Commercial customers. Develop a full understanding of ADT's Commercial Sales and Sales Operations Policies and Procedures. Complete multiple online modules, instructor-led courses and self-learning pertaining to ADT Commercial products, services and processes involved in securing customers' assets, facilities. Complete the prerequisites for, and attend ADT Commercial Sales Academy ("CSA"). On a rotational basis, work with cross-functional departmental managers and team members to obtain an understanding of the inter-departmental objectives/requirements in meeting our customer's needs Participate in Executive Roundtables to enhance development, understanding of larger organization and potential career paths. Work with sales management and skilled sales representatives to identify and close opportunities for security solutions and enhancements that will exceed their expectations to include the following: Gain understanding and analyze sales reports in order to evaluate, select, and implement security solutions for our new and existing customers Attend coaching rides with seasoned sales reps to develop business acumen and ADT's approach to the marketplace Visit territories around the sales and service offices, learning our approach to the marketplace and how to provide customer solutions in face-to-face meetings; Become skilled in building relationships with key customer decision makers across diverse channels/functions, with the goal to become the single point of contact with major commercial and industrial customers for their security needs. Gain solid working knowledge of all aspects of RFP and quote preparations to include scope of work, contracts, pricing, and system and solution applications for the ADT Commercial new and existing customer base Assist in formulating standard/routine proposals in conjunction with team members and various functional groups. Assist in drafting narratives that tie the project components together and package;assist in presenting the proposal to the potential or existing customer Create basic systems with drawings and part numbers based on real jobs or case studies Track and report on the status of all proposals that are pending or require follow-up Gain mastery in developing and delivering sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by: Developing technical presentations demonstrating our capabilities Maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends, and governmental regulations Demonstrating effectiveness in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and larger groups, with peers, mangers and customer representatives Become skilled in utilization of multiple ADT IT systems and tools to hunt new business. Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team Attend trade shows with sales management and/or seasoned sales reps to build relationships with vendors and increase knowledge of industry product trends. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
