hired to build the in house legal department and create best practices and contracts for all function groups, including sales, mktg, operations, quality control, IT, R&D and finance. Managed trademark and patent portfolio with about 50 trademarks and 15 patents. Created budget for outside counsel. Managed all SEC compliance - including doing the Form 3-4s, 10Qs and 10Ks/Annual reports and drafting proxy statement. Key member of the Finance team for first time compliance with SOX and helped build compliance model. Also, worked with IT and Finance on software build outs for delivery and electronic records and payment procedures.
