Daily Duties at Calpine Corporation:

Directed up to 4 employees and managed all facets of calibration, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, project planning, and overall operation at three power generation facilities ranging from 30MW to 600MW featuring MKVI Turbine Controls, Siemens TXP Distributive Control Systems, EX2100 Generator Control. Other equipment operated, programmed, troubleshot, and repaired included GE Fanuc 90 Taylor Mod 300 DCS, and Allen Bradley Logix 5000 PLCs and Distributed Control Systems. Managed personnel, and assisted in maintaining and repairing switchgear, transformers, motors, motor controls, and low through high voltage equipment. Part of startup, commissioning and operating crew for company “flagship” power facility, the Metcalf Energy Center. Served as Combustion Emissions Monitoring System Maintenance Technician, and led special projects to improve efficiencies, lower costs, increase safety, and meet management expectations. Served in a 24/7 capacity as emergency response team member and cross trained as plant operator. • Successfully planned and oversaw installation, configuration, and user training for the MAXIMO centralized maintenance management system, and managed comprehensive system tracing and reconstruction of old schematics resulting in the identification and resolution of ongoing issues with the DCS, RTUs, PLCs, and SCADA interfaces.
