Field data collection in indoor (inside kitchen) and outdoor (ambient) environment for BC (using Aethalometer and novel low-cost cell-phone based BC monitoring system, or BC_CBM), CO, CO2, and aerosol scattering properties (using Nephelometer). Measurement of atmospheric aerosol properties from MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer), CALIOP (Cloud-Aerosol Lidar with Orthogonal Polarization) and OMI (Ozone Monitoring Instrument) instruments onboard NASA satellites and surface-based AERONET (Aerosol Robotic Network) stations. Estimation of radiative forcing of climate using Monte-Carlo Aerosol Cloud Radiation (MACR) Model.
