Daily Duties at Advanced Surgical Institute:
Pat assessment of patients scheduled for surgery. Responsibilities include obtaining and reviewing medical history, medications, laboratory and ECG results. Skillful and rapid assessment of patients for surgical procedures to include a complete Pre-Op nursing assessment, review of patient medications and initiating I.V. access. Cared for patients in Phase 1 PACU, to include those who have received local or general anesthesia surgical, Pain management, and Endoscopy procedures. Post operative care of patients in Phase II evaluating patient’s needs and implementing goals for a positive outcome post operatively. • Cross trained in Endoscopy procedures to include EGD and colonoscopies, pre-op phase, interproceedure phase, and post-op phase.
