Daily Duties at Alliant Insurance Services:
Manage the client relationship. New client acquisition through managing centers of influence, current client referral generation, partnering with other agent internally to cross sell accounts, and cold calling from prospective client lists. New client meetings including a detailed risk analysis, needs discovery, and client service plan. Gather all needed information from the client including financial statements. Develop marketing strategy for client and sell them to the underwriter. Underwriter premium negotiations prior to presentation to client. Develop written proposal including detailed premium breakdown, coverage analysis and recommendations. Make final proposal to the client. Handle final client and underwriter negotiations regarding premium pricing and coverage. Bind coverage and present client with binder as well as payment options. Handle collections with client. Manage annual service plan including policy deliver and review, certificate handling, claims reporting and reviews, semi annual service review, and annual renewal update. Manage day to day client interaction including managing any fires that may arise. Manage client interaction with insurance companies. Including risk control inspections, recommendation followup, claims and annual audits. Onsite claim management including contractor selection, carrier relations and claims payment. Attend client and company events to build relationships. Other tasks include annual budgeting, continuing eduction and insuring compliance with all State and Federal insurance regulations. Manage the staff involvement with the client. Including daily servicing of client needs. Involvement in staff hiring including taking part in interviews and making recommendations. Giving input on daily staff performance, client interactions, client satisfaction, and improvement for annual staff performance reviews. I have an extensive knowledge of Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, Professional Liability, D&O Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Auto coverages. I am licensed in California, Arizona, Texas, Hawaii and New York. Clients include over 50 non profits, local and multinational manufacturers, service organizations, developers and large property owners, nursing homes, contractors, and wholesalers. Clients range in size from a couple of million in revenue to over $100 million in revenue. Clients are located throughout the United States including California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Hawaii, Virginia, and New York. Acted as the marketing director and carrier liason within a broker revenue group. A broker revenue group is a self managing group that pools resource and expertise to maximize revenue for the involved producers. I was tasked with managing the multiple relationships with carriers. Was asked my management to participate in a pilot new agent training program. Was given the responsibility as mentor and trainer for a new agent. Over an 18 month period the trainee shadowed me during my daily duties. After graduation from the program the new agent was awarded the best new agent in the commercial insurance division after his first full year.
