Daily Duties at Well Point Inc:

 Executed formal Request for Quotation (RFQ) and conducted formal Request for Information (RFI) for a wide range of Commodities and services. This included small to large procurement on such items as multi functional devices, a variety of paper products, wireless devices, commercial printing and office suppliers.  Assisted in the consolidation of Procurement with the merger of Anthem and WellPoint. Tasks include merging of PeopleSoft system for Purchasing and Accounts Payable, installation of Ariba system and training of internal customers as well as suppliers and consolidation of sourcing/procurement policy and procedures.  Lead on cross-enterprise commodity teams related to contract negotiation tactics, strategy and organized implementation. Provided final documentation for legal approval of both internal/external law departments.  Perform all approved purchasing using Purchase order, credit card, check request, voucher load and A/P Invoice payment. Use Ariba and PeopleSoft systems for complete Purchase to Pay process (P2P).  Work directly with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoice/billing issues as well as developing supplier management process for 1000 suppliers including enablement in the Ariba system and all aspects of delivery as well as payment terms, payment by electronic funds and qualification/certification/rating process.  Perform contract administration and management functions including contract breaches, pricing issues, delivery issue and poor customer service for over 100 contracts.  Management of Purchasing Website keeping process information current including preferred supplier list, purchasing guidelines and strategic sourcing.  Assisted internal customers with the creation of specifications for purchase of products and services.  Created presentations using PowerPoint, Microsoft Live Meeting and Recorded sessions, to internal and external customers as well as management level associates up to the Chief procurement Officer.
