Daily Duties at Palmetto Health Hospital System:

Supervise employees who work in the department. Speak with doctors and nurses concerning orders when there is confusion. Sometimes they are irate and must use service recovery to calm them down. Check bills from reference labs for accuracy before sending to Accounts Payable. Determine what tests could use computer orderables based on how many we send out of a certain test. Determine CPT, appropriate price and fill out CDM (Charge Master) spreadsheet to submit test for an invidividual orderable.
