Started up a consulting practice to assist commercial real estate borrowers with the restructure, modification or work out of their existing loan(s). Responsibilities included sales and marketing to obtain clients, managing and administrating the business including developing a client contract and bank authorization form to speak with the bank on behalf of hte client, pricing for services, accounting for revenues and expenses, purchasing equipment, establishing a website for email communication, and obtaining office space. Responsbilities for each engagement included reviewing financial statements on the borrower and guarantor, obtaining interim financial information, obtaining and reviewing projections for the business, advising clients on where to cut costs, working with the client to prepare a loan modification or restructure in writing, speaking or meeting with bank personnel to negotiate the restructure or modification, and obtaining new financing where possible to paydown the existing bank lender.
