Daily Duties at Best Buy:

Responsible for forecasting, launching and managing new/existing product in assortment. Collaborative planning with Sr. Buyer on assortment planning and sku selection. Works with In-House Best Buy private label team in developing and launching new product. Actively involved in cost reduction and securing sell thru support from vendors on product not performing to forecast. Holding weekly collaborative CPFR forecasting calls with vendors for better planning & support. Executes processes, and utilizes business tools and metrics to ensure that the correct product is in the correct distribution centers, on time and in the right quantities. Partnership with Business team members, logistics as well as suppliers to communicate issues and then collaborates with the team to deliver the greatest value to the company while achieving the business/product financial goals. Analyze data and determine revenue and cannibalization forecasts for potential new & old product & review strategy with Sr. Buyer and Inventory Director. Serve as subject matter expert in assessing inventory health situation concept. Conduct research and identify trends into broader topics related to the strategy for Best Buy’s brick and mortar business, including revenue growth and strategic potential. Actively plays a part in team development and coach junior analysts. Plays significant role in process development and team building.
