Daily Duties at Recorded Books:

Responsible for monthly preparation of financial reports, statistics, and summary analysis comparing actual results to budgeted and prior year results. Perform profitability analysis for various product channels, and product groups. Responsible for periodic calculation of obsolescence reserves and unit costs (inventory valuation) for CFO review. Responsible for reviewing monthly sales tax returns for 29 states. Review all non-salary payroll compensation (bonuses, commissions) bi-weekly. Maintain database with all sales rep territories assigned to 30 sales reps to ensure appropriate assignment of commissions. Prepare detailed compensation plans for all sales reps at least annually, or as territories are changed & maintain sales data for statistical reporting. Assist CFO with preparation of various compliance projects.
