Daily Duties at Network Cabling:
Design structured cabling and network systems (copper, fiber optic, and wireless) and data center upgrades for clients. Meet with customers, perform site surveys to evaluate network infrastructure and assess future requirements. Write proposals and give sales presentations explaining advantages of one product or technology over another. Clients for whom I have designed projects include: US Department of Homeland Security, UCSD Healthcare, Websense, Sony, SAIC, TD Waterhouse, Motorola, City of San Diego, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, Johnson & Johnson, Valley View Casino, and MedImpact. For a six month period I also acted as the company’s Procurement Manager, responsible for all purchasing of cabling supplies and materials and all vendor and supplier management.
