Daily Duties at District Of Columbia Public Schools:
• Monitor DCPS students in private special education schools • Ensure the success of their academic and therapeutic programs • Plan and implement students’ transition to public schools • Conducted professional developments and trainings for private school staff • Forge strong relationships between students’ home, school, support networks, and DCPS • Run well-organized Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings • Gather the data necessary to make critical decisions in a short period of time • Meditate contentious meetings with diverse parties with diverse interests • Collaborate with a variety of DC agencies and monitor the provision of services to students
