The responsibilities require planning and process management leadership to identify opportunities, eliminate bottlenecks, and propose comprehensive improvements, in lieu of supporting the finance, operations and labor planning disciplines. Specifically, while focusing on critical time lines, the senior industrial engineer must recognize and capitalize on historical trends in data for future improvement via a thorough understanding of statistics, data mining, root cause analysis, modeling and performance matrices. Other assignments consist of the maintenance of labor standards, the development of new labor standards, and lean six-sigma facilitation.
