Daily Duties at University Of Houston:

Recruited to improve employee morale and reputation of Donor and Alumni Records; built and established trust with staff and ensured smooth operations with fewer mistakes being made. I have expertise in managing programs, implementing processes to improve production, preparing and entering data into information management system. I am an effective multi-tasker who thrives in busy, fast paced environments. I posess outstanding communication and organizational skills. Also, I am adept at providing community outreach within the University of Houston System, serving as UH Staff Council Member, and Co-Chair of the events committee. We produced several interactive events which called for the recruitment and coordination of directing the volunteers. These events included both the practice of presentation and public speaking skills, and provided an opportunity for the community to ask questions of our leadership. I also acted as a liaison between staff and UH Staff Coouncil to bring forward issues and concerns of the community which were then presented to senior management. Assisted in cost containment by managing a $124K budget effectively to each fiscal year's activities. I responded to written and telephone correspondence from donors and colleagues, as necessary and withing appropriate time frames. In addition to my management responsibilities, I also demonstrated a workable understanding of the division's and the university's goals and objectives and took part in an annual strategic business plan. In addition, I provided weekly, monthly and annual reports that indicated summaries of gifts, bequests, endowments, fellowships and gifts-in-kind that had been received in Donor and Alumni Records.

What they like about University Of Houston:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
