Daily Duties at Publix Supermarkets, Inc:

Responsible for entire store in absence of Store Manager. Assisted the Store Manager in increasing sales and profits to achieve company goals. Also responsible for purchasing, merchandising, budget planning, inventory control, customer service, hiring and training of new associates, cash handling and all facets of running a grocery store. Responsible for monitoring for the stores safety as well as monitoring the store for compliance with all federal, state, local and company guidelines or rules for food safety. Loss Prevention education for the associates and managers with the prevention of lost food, property, or cash. Also responsible for communications between management in the store as well as communications from the store to other stores, warehouses, corporate offices, upper management and vendors.
