Daily Duties at State Government:

Drafted special reports and speeches for the Governor including the Legislative Messages and the second Inaugural address. Assisted the Governor in the editing of other submitted material. Assisted with the development and implementation of official and unofficial events hosted by Governor and Mrs. Graves. MORE:I condensed multiple page reports, internal and external, into one or two pages of reading, saving the principal countless hours of review; I arranged events with extreme detail orientation and professionalism. The result was happy attendees and principals who enjoyed the event and /or were placed in the most productive situations. (everyone wants his or her ear. Not everyone gets it and when they do, it is timed.) I would listen to the Governor paint, with broad strokes, what he wished to articulate to an audience on a particular subject. This information, together with my personal knowledge of his habits and background, was used to craft the first draft of a speech that would, ultimately, be reduced to eight to twelve sentences on a recipe card.
