Daily Duties at Westchester Medical Center Valhalla:
Work under the general direction of the Supervising hospital Pharmacist and clinical pharmacy specialist. Provide direction and supervision for supportive staff. Assume responsibility for the day-to-day comprehensive, patient-oriented pharmacy services. Exercise sound management and clinical judgment in making appropriate decisions. Identify problems that exist in assigned area of practice. Cooperate in resolution of these problems. Participates in training pharmacy interns and support personnelin each of the pharmacy service areas. Ruth Taylor geriatric institute Medication therapy management, interpret and resolve medication problems in regards to goals of care process outcome. Report irregularities to the medical provider, nurse manager and associate director of pharmacy. Provide comprehensive Drug distribution services. Confer with Nursing for resolution of medication misadventures. Work in inpatient hospital when offsite. Cross trained to provide cross coverage in other all pharmacy service area. Train and supervise supporting staff. Asssist in training new pharmacists.
