Daily Duties at Nationwide Insurance:

Assess insurance policy contract coverage, contact insured, determine and establish reserve requirements. Determine and document, during the investigation process, the potential for recovery. Plan and conduct investigations (including but not limited to interviewing parties involved, collecting and evaluating documentation and securing evidence and protecting the chain-of-custody) to analyze coverage, determine liability , compensability and damages of claims. Evaluate claim for potential fraud. Assess actual damages associated with claims and conduct negotiations to settle claims. Collaborated with defense attorneys to develop litigation strategies and oversee legal activities throughout entire litigation process, including: specific discovery and deposition requests, motions, appeals, pleadings, and defenses for cases filed in Magistrate’s, District, and Superior Courts. Continued negotiations at mediations and arbitrations as warranted preventing unnecessary trial losses.
