Daily Duties at Ibm General Products Division:
Continued an internship assisting IBM facility managers with the perpetual process of designing, developing, constructing, and demolishing the facilities required for the rapidly changing manufacturing requirements of IBM computer hardware. Was introduced to concepts of manufacturing such as ‘just in time’ and to the role of the facility manager; managing work and maintaining infrastructure assets in response to emergencies, as preventive maintenance, or even as predictive maintenance (the precursor to ‘Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM)’.
