Daily Duties at North Seattle Women's Group:

• Assisted doctors in clinical procedures: biopsies, cyst drainage, colposcopies, intrauterine device Insertions/removals, Saline Infusion sonographies, Loop Electrical Excision Procedures. • Ensured proper patient flow in the back office saving time, staff and financial resources. •Ensured equipment functioned correctly. •Followed HIPPA compliance; protecting personal medical information. •Handling of medical instrumentation: cleaning, autoclaving and storage. •Initial point of contact for pharmaceutical sales representative. •Maintenance of laboratory area and of adequate medication samples, clinic supplies. •Managed prescription refills and medication/device insurance prior authorizations. •Performed medical procedures: administration of medications (IM and SQ), EKG’s, vital signs, •anthropometric measurements, phlebotomy skills, blood and tissue biopsy handling. •Performed administrative duties: documentation, recording and filing of patient information. •Provided patient education; thereby helping with patient compliance. •Triage of patients’ complaints and prioritizing them in order of importance.
