Daily Duties at Txu Electric And Gas:
Starting with the company after college I held numerous positions with TXU. During my early years I worked as a customer service representative supporting community and customer issues. In the early 1990’s I moved to the corporate office to develop energy conservation and load management programs using my marketing product development and segmentation skills. Additionally during this time I developed numerous marketing programs such as commercial lighting lease programs and products for temporary power. With the introduction of utility deregulation the company purchased utilities in Australia and the United Kingdom. I was chosen to become the company expert on deregulation and was assigned to Australia to develop non-energy products and to the UK to manage the internal retail / wholesale settlement process. This lead to my development of strategic information technology projects for TXU and a significant role in reorganization of the distribution business, Oncor electric. During this period I managed the company’s national deregulation policy, coordinating with legislators and consumer groups to form a national electric deregulation policy and organization to implement the policy.
