Develop custom, scripted geospatial analysis solutions for NCEAS scientists, using a mix of open source and proprietary software tools: Geospatial Applications Development:. Perform short-duration custom geospatial analysis projects. Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art geospatial analysis and data base construction tools, from both proprietary and open sources. Develop online training curriculum in the form of prototype Use Cases, based on actual projects completed at NCEAS. Scientific Data Management: Publish scientific geospatial datasets from these sources and compile custom geospatial data sets for NCEAS scientists using standard software tools and data formats. Demonstrate the techniques used to the scientists. Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art geospatial data sources available within the government, scientific, and private communities. As dictated by intellectual privacy constraints, publish the data bases available online for use by the greater scientific community.
