Daily Duties at Center Against Domestic Violence:

Timely respond to all hot-line calls, screened candidates for shelter admission and provided crisis intervention information and referrals. Provided effective non-violent supportive counseling, (individual or group) mediation to the residents. Orient and assisted new residents with their adjustments to facility and inputted attendance, admission and discharge data into HRA’s SOS system. Toured building on a regular basis, while enforcing agency rules for all residents and visitors. Completed incident reports, strategized with the Director of Social Service as to best case practice to ensure the residents and staff safety remained uncompromised. Conducted activity and play groups with children and provided supportive counseling to residents during evening hours, while assisting visitors, verifying proper supervision of children, generate curfew reports and answer multi-line phone system.
