Daily Duties at Opportunities For A Better Tomorrow:

Served as the agency’s first Public Speaker (staff) and trainer for Public Speaking and Communications class, while organizing independent studies and citywide surveys for at risk youth’s outcomes after participating in public speaking forums. Conducted and managed specialized individual and group crisis sessions. Coordinated the collection and tracking of placement data and supporting documentation at both OBT locations Coordinated the creation and dissemination of weekly and monthly program outcome reports and individual trainee status reports to all staff and funders Inputted all required trainee data into Automated Case Management System (ACMS) at both sites as required by government funders. Provided timely data and prepare the annual Philliber report required by private foundation funders, while counseling young adults and prepared a reliable case management system to help at risk youths obtain stability through education and job placement. Conducted ongoing follow-up activities with OBT employers in an effort to develop proactive working relationships and linked intervention services at employer’s worksites as needed in an effort to mediate any on the job concerns faced by employers and trainees.

You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
