Daily Duties at The Child Center Of New York:

Over 3 years of extensive experience providing Clinical Social work to families struggling with mental health / socioeconomic adjustments. The ability to develop relationships while providing family therapy to adolescents (12 to 18 years old) and their parents or guardians who are at risk for out of home placement without becoming too emotionally involved. Assessed families who are referred via Court proceedings, Child Welfare or Community Based Organizations for clinical intervention using The FFT (Functional Family Therapy Model) and other evidence based techniques. Identified and initiated a plan to address family violence treatment, child sexual abuse assessments and therapeutic interventions with families and their support system. Provided assessment, diagnosis and treatment for psychological illness through social case work, individual, group, family psychotherapy, consultation, education, prevention, and environmental manipulation to promote maximum benefits from the Services provided. Provided diagnostic impressions on case histories and clinical assessment to other health care staff, schools along with judicial personnel when appropriate. Provided clinical therapy sessions in the home or office while reporting all tracked data using CONNECTIONS, FFT and PROMIS database. Linked the families with CBO’s (community based organizations) to reduce recidivism to ACS or the Juvenile Justice System.
