Daily Duties at Us Department Of Energy (Various Offices):

Provide procurement planning advice during Pre/Post Award functions for highly technical contracting work emphasizing customer requirements and relationships to achieve results that further the agency’s mission. Coordinate with program managers Analyze requirements and recommend revisions to statements of work/specifications. Identify procurement objectives and methodologies Plan comprehensive negotiation strategy Determine the appropriate type of contract Establish milestones Issue Request for Proposals Conduct pre-proposal conferences Evaluate proposals Make competitive range determinations Analyze of elements of cost Write and coordinate pre-negotiation memorandum Lead negotiations Award contracts, as Contracting Officer. Conduct post-award briefings Write responses to protests add coordinate with headquarters and the General Accounting Office Initiate post-award briefings with contractors to ensure full understanding of terms Negotiate and process contract modifications Resolve issues related to non-compliance, and the termination process Perform duties of team lead – assign work, provide advise and training, review and comment on team member’s work
