Daily Duties at Bryant And Stratton College:

Theory Instructor Introduction to Nursing and Nursing Fundamentals Introduction to Nursing included weekly classroom instruction in an ADN program providing introductory information on the history and practice of nursing and the nursing process. Nursing fundamentals continued to build on these competencies introducing client assessment and the use of the nursing process, care and safety of the hospitalized client, system disease processes, critical thinking skills, mathematic and communication skills that are required in the nursing workplace. Clinical Instructor Medical/Surgical II and Advanced Practicum Clinical instruction involved collaboratively working with different facilities and staff to provide an atmosphere for the students to deepen their development in the role as providers of care. Recent sites include Abdominal Transplant unit @ ASLMC and Med/Surg Telemetry @ ASMC in Milwaukee, WI. Emphasis was placed on the importance of professionalism, communication, collaboration, documentation, prioritization and organization skills in the healthcare setting.
