Daily Duties at Kpmg:
Plan and perform audit procedures including Sarbanes-Oxley control testing, quarterly review procedures, and year end substantive testwork for public and private clients with a specialization in assessing Accounts Payable, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting, Human Resources, Payroll, and Inventory. Interact and communicate with client management on accounting and internal control issues to effectively accomplish audit goals. Analyze financial trends and fluctuations on both a quarterly and year end basis in context of client’s current operations for reasonableness. Assist in supervision of audit engagements by managing and reviewing intern work and communicating to upper levels of management at the firm. Collaborate with engagement team members to complete assigned audit process areas as well as assist other team members when necessary in order to complete all audit procedures within established deadlines. Perform special projects as requested by Manager while balancing scheduled work load, including assessment of reliance on Internal Audit testing to identify audit efficiencies.
