Daily Duties at Parkview Health System:

Set up instrument sets for Orthopedic,General,Neuro,Ent and General surgeries. Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgeons's assistants,hold retractors and cut sutures. Circulate,prep and catheterize patients as directed.Position and drape patients prior to surgery.Prepare,care for,and dispose of tissue specimens taken for laboratory analysis.Prepare dressings or bandages and apply or assist with their application following surgery. Clean and restock the operating room,placing equipment back in its place. Return all unused supplies back to Central supply as well as dirty equipment and instrumentation back to the decontame area.
