Daily Duties at Internal Revenue Service:

• Counseled I.R.S. on corporate, partnership, and individual income tax issues by researching federal tax law, conducting fact finding, including depositions, and providing written and oral analysis to I.R.S. managers, attorneys, Appeals officers and Examiners. • Prepared litigation against large corporate taxpayers by reviewing I.R.S. audit procedures and facts, drafting and approving summons of taxpayer records, conducting depositions, communicating with opposing counsel, and making recommendations to I.R.S. managers and senior attorneys. • Prepared litigation against Small Business/ Self-Employed (SBSE) taxpayers in U.S. Tax Court litigation. Drafted pleadings, pre-trial memoranda and Counsel settlement documents. Negotiated settlements prior to litigation for all 15 cases on my docket.

What they like about Internal Revenue Service:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
