Daily Duties at Tower Extrusions, Ltd:
• Managed the health, safety, environmental, and security program for the facility (240 + employees), to include conducting hazard and control assessments, environmental reporting, permit negotiations, workers’ compensation case management, and training • Provided health, safety and environmental support 3 facilities, to include industrial hygiene monitoring, tool development, training and capability building of team members, supervisors, managers, and senior leadership • Administered and maintained worker compensation issues • Developed and maintained safety and policy and programs • Over 50% reduction in OSHA severity rate (2003– 2004) • Reduced total injury cost by 82% from 2003 – 2005 • Maintained safety incentives and OSHA compliance for the facility. • Recruited for hourly and salaried positions including technical talent such as engineering, mechanics, electricians, and other highly skilled positions. • Primary contact for employee benefit program • Development and implementation of training programs to enhance the performance of the work force and improve production rates • Workers compensation and unemployment compensation plan administration • Successfully implemented plans for employee moral enhancement, attendance measurement and improvement systems, and safety incentives, • Wage and compensation analysis for merit increases and career progression management for the organization • Purchasing and inventory control for the manufacturing operation including cost analysis.
