Daily Duties at Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries:
Employed as a temporary financial analyst of non-profit organization during a computer system conversion and post implementation of a Buds/Lawson system Prepared grant budgets for renewals and maintained budgetary controls in support of more than 40 different programs located throughout PA, Delaware and Maryland Analyzed budget variances prior to submission of Management Discussion & Analysis Reports to management as part of monthly close process under strict deadlines Reviewed and analyzed patterns of expenditures and revenues for childcare programs, adult daycare centers and other family and children services programs for comparison to forecasted amounts on a monthly basis Prepared various reports using Excel for presentation of budgetary calculations, budget documentation and monthly review Interfaced with Managers and Directors concerning departmental charges and served as the Finance Team’s contact person for specific programs Researched discrepancies and prepared adjusting entries when needed to correct charges to budgeted line items
