• Managed the successful construction of $232M, 110 MGY Ethanol Facility in Clymers, Indiana - SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) - Demo of 2000' railroad rail / construction of 1500' of railroad rail / ballast, etc... in new area - Grain Elevator and Conveyor Systems - 2 Corn Bins (Storage) - Hammer Mill Area - Energy Center (4 dryer drums, 2 cooling drums, 6 centrifuges, grain elevator and conveyors) - DDG (Dry Grain Storage) / Conveyor System - Process Building (13 tanks,) - Fermentation Area (6 fermentation tanks, 1 beer well, 1 CO2 scrubber) - Distillation (DDE) (Molecular Sieves, evaporation columns, 3 tanks) - Cooling Tower Area (Stick Built - wooden) + Water Treatment System - Wet Cake Area - Tank Farm Area - 6 MCC's (Motor Control Centers) / 1 substation (Local Utilities) - Loadout Station - Truck Scale - 300 motors, 4000 DCS network control devices (instruments), 8 S&C Switchgears, 8 Transformers, redundant main utility loop - Fire Prevention Loop (Liaison for local Fire Marshal) - Water Wells (Directional Drilling) - Liaison for local Gas and Water Utilities - Attended and spoke in town hall meetings to dispute Air Permit Issues - Permits - Third party inspections - Pre-construction activities to include all utilities **** All Areas above include safety, security, geotechnical reports, surveying (layout), dirt (excavation, backfill and grading) work, underground utilities, ground grid, equipment bonding, lightning protection, concrete foundations, masonry, tile setting, flooring, cabinetry, window / door casework, trimming, exterior sheathing, fencing, roofing, lifting (some dual lifts dual lifts) / setting of equipment and vessels, field erection of tanks (steel sheeting), steel erection, piping to include supports, all electrical / instrumentation / communications / heat tracing, main drainage system / trench drains / containment pond, painting, pre-commissioning, commissioning, system turnovers, water trials and start-up. • Coordinated pre-construction prior to construction beginning. • Managed all aspects of operations, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, reporting and direct supervision. • Managed and supervised field engineers, office personnel, electrical, mechanical and civil superintendents. • Managed the coordination activities of sub-contractors, client representatives and company personnel to successfully construct Turn Key Project. • Efficiently interpreted P&ID’s, electrical drawings, civil drawings, orthometric (3-Dimensional) drawings and isometric drawings to research, identify and resolves issues. • Developed, with corporate office and owner representative, project schedule. • Produced budget reports for corporate office and owner representative. • Approved and negotiated change orders to insure proper bids were given. • Audited invoices for 25 contractors and 20 vendors to insure proper payment was given for actual progress completed. • Held daily safety and progress meetings with subcontractor Project Managers and Owner Representative. • Enforced OSHA regulations.
