Daily Duties at Los Angeles County Office Of Education :
Directed the management, administration and evaluation of a contract security staff of nearly 60 officers covering over 20 locations throughout L.A. County. Responsibility encompasses over 6,000 employees in more than 290 locations with budgetary development, management and control of over $5 million annually. Controlled and monitored all fund expenditure, project management expenses and allocations. Primary areas of concentration are physical safety and security, emergency preparedness and planning, and the protection of the Agency’s assets, facilities and information technology to include goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards. Developed, managed and administered the Agency’s security surveillance systems located at over 50 locations. Developed, managed and administered the card access control system that controlled 14 locations, 12,000 ID cards and 400 gate controller devices. Designed and managed the Office’s emergency preparedness program, in-service training sessions, exercises, evaluations, written materials and manuals. Developed and managed, in cooperation with Risk Management, the Office’s Threat Management Response Protocols (commonly referred to as Workplace Violence Prevention Program).
