Daily Duties at Amvets Of California Service Foundation:

Served as the interim Executive Director, contracted to develop the corporate infrastructure for a $50 mil veterans non-profit charity organization. During my tenure I refined accountabilities in areas of Grants (Giving Program), Budget and Finance. I was directly responsible for all the day-to-day operations and programs, reporting only to the Board of Directors. I established a salary structure to over 40 employees, which did not have one in 10 years. I developed a reintegration for the organization’s 5 thrift stores recently recovered from an outside management company. I created and managed the organization’s first ever, Budget and revised the Chart of Accounts to more effectively manage the over $6 mil annual budget. I developed their first ever 5 year plan setting the organization on a path towards continued and controlled growth, with security bench marks for stability with a biannual review process.

What they like about Amvets Of California Service Foundation:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
